This field pant from Woolrich Woolen Mills packs bonuses like ripstop fabric and a pleasantly colorful plaid lining, but we're most concerned with those pouches on the front. It won't feel too different from jean pockets (give or take a snap), but the look is a pretty big leap forward.  

Monocle is known for scouting out the best in the industry not just for news, but also for their products. So far in Monocle's collaborations, we have seen a great selection of products created with labels or people who are at the top of their game. Just to name drop some of their past collaborators, Comme des Garçons, Oliver Spencer and Bill Amberg are just a few to name.  

Once again Monocle has gotten together with some interesting partners. For the second time they worked with Woolrich Woolen Mills and they also get together with Tomorrowland from Japan this season. Together with Woolrich they present another limited edition jacket that is more appropriate than the previous one, for the colder months ahead.

With Daiki Suzuki steering Woolrich Woolen Mills for the past couple of seasons, the label has been heading in a good direction of rugged, outdoor American style and gained a good following of fans. As the weather gets colder and natural phenomenon gets a little more erratic with snow and sun and perhaps, more snow, function and utility never matter so much before. This season, Woolrich Woolen Mills continue to bring us an excellent selection of classic outerwear that are well-cut yet tough.

No question, Steven Alan's upped his design game for fall. That leaf-changing season still seems a world away in this sweltering heat, but the fruits of his labor are now in-store and online. The theme of the season is woodsy and rustic: Alan's famous single-needle and reverse-seam shirts are here as always, but once again flannel gets pride of place, ready to be paired with slouchy, herringbone tweeds, wool fedoras and paperboy caps, and waxed-cotton jackets reminiscent of Barbour's.  

These autumnal tones and textures suggest the great camp style. That's when you wallow in the wilderness and also dress for dinner.
